Exercise

“As a murky swamp is to a crystal-clear, flowing stream, bodies that do not move breed stagnation and disease, while bodies that remain active keep their systems circulating, self-refreshing, and healthy.” – Susan Magine

For most of our lives we have been exercising to have a tight and toned body, to have the ass and six pack. Recently however, that has all changed! We’ve managed to shift our ‘why’ to one of nurture, love and compassion for ourselves. We get up and exercise because it makes us feel good. Our bodies feel alive after a workout; our minds feel energised and healthy. Instead of focusing on the external achievements that come with consistent exercise, we focus on the way it improves our moods and how it colours the way we feel about ourselves and our lives.

Below are 4 areas of exercising that we enjoy doing. Within each, are resources that we use to stay fit and healthy and that seem to be working for us long term. Give them a try and let us know what you think!
